Lam Tells U.S. Leaders Not to Interfere
Chief Executive Carrie Lam said that neither President Donald Trump nor Vice President Joe Biden should interfere with the internal affairs of Hong Kong, regardless of who wins this week’s U.S. presidential election.
According to The Star Tribune, Lam also “accused the Trump administration of repeatedly interfering over the past year, citing U.S. sanctions on officials including herself and the suspension of special trading conditions previously granted to Hong Kong.”
Meanwhile, Yahoo! News is reporting that a “Hong Kong university has threatened to cancel a student exhibition commemorating one of the most chaotic episodes of last year’s anti-government protests over a poster it described as potentially illegal.”
