HK Safe Harbor Act Introduced in U.S. House

A bipartisan coalition in the U.S. House of Representatives has introduced and supported the Hong Kong Safe Harbor Act. The proposed law would designate some Hongkongers as Priority 2 refugees under U.S. law.

Rep. John Curtis (of Utah) stated in support of the bill, “Hong Kong represents a struggle for democracy. The people of Hong Kong have demonstrated a desire to fight for the freedom based American values we hold dear. The Hong Kong Safe Harbor Act will empower Hong Kongers to continue their fight for freedom, while letting them know the U.S. and global community have their back.”
